Questions people ask

How do you know it's the starter and not the battery?

Voltage under load, cable drop and the starter circuit. If it's the battery, you pay for a battery, not a starter.

How long does it take?

About an hour where the starter is easy to reach. Buried starters (under an intake manifold) can take most of a day.

What if it's not the starter?

Then we don't replace it. You get the actual cause and a price for that instead.

Can you tap the starter to get it going?

Sometimes it buys one more start, but it's a sign the starter is failing. Don't count on it twice.
